![]() I have a contract that I use with new clients called AdmissionAgreement.dotm that loads names and dates into the document from a form. The document is too large to attach and send to this forum as a document or a zip file. I didn't set up the form so I am not sure how to make changes. The document uses bookmarks as fields and VBA (which I am familiar with). After I open the document holding down the shift key to bypass the form upon loading, add a bookmark and then save it asks me to save it as a docx file. I then change the file type to dotm but the form and VBA code is missing. Could someone help me to make changes? |

Did you actually open the template or create a new document from it? If you opened it then File > Save should save it in the same format. Adding a bookmark shouldn't affect this.
I would also suggest replacing the bookmarks (which are all to easy to delete) with content controls. You may find Insert Content Control Add-In useful in that task. It is then easy enough to write the values from the userform to the content controls - see Create a userform.
