Default Spec book maker

Somewhat new to Word macros, but I have moderate experience in Excel macros.

I am trying to create a spec book maker. Where one may fill in a prompt from start up, based off the prompt large amounts of text are added (such as if they type "01" a lenght text about 01 is added), and then the the pages are auto numbered.
Is this even possible? Any direction is greatly appreciated.

Yes it is possible but you would need to provide more information before anyone can give any meaningful guidance.

Do a few searches on this forum or google and get to know some of the terminology so you can ask a clearer question. Or post a document that shows what you want to happen.

Okay for anyone doing something similar, here is how to prompt information into a field: https://superuser.com/questions/676110/how-to-prompt-for-information-when-starting-a-new-document-from-microsoft-word-t

Still working on figuring out if one can insert pages based on the field, or some alternative.
Numbering is of course using Ctrl+F9> right click > edit field> AutoNum

Solved! If anyone is ever looking for something similar.
1) Put all the information that needs to be filled out on one document.
2) Create a pop up and fields using this method : https://superuser.com/questions/676110/how-to-prompt-for-information-when-starting-a-new-document-from-microsoft-word-t
Mine looks something like this { SET myfield { FILLIN "my prompt text" } } { REF myfield }

3) Instead insert pages automatically use the "IF" function pasting the full text of the needed page in the last set of quotation marks, mine looked like this:
{ If {TRIM "myfield"}="Manhole" "MANHOLE DATA SHEET ..."}
4) At the end of all your pages use Numbering by : Ctrl+F9> right click > edit field> AutoNum
