macropod,

Many thanks for the reply as this problem has me stumped for the past couple days. However, I am not sure I totally understand what you are saying. I did not save the document as a template I saved the document as a .docm. What exactly do you mean when you say "macro isn't in the document but in its template"?

I have no prior experience do writing macros in VB script so my knowledge is very limited. I am pretty certain the document security on the other machine is set to "Disable all macros with notification", however I do not get any notification. If I copy and paste the code directly into the document and save it locally on the new machine then close/reopen it works. Seems to me this should be a simple problem but I have not yet resolved the problem.

Thanks again macropod for your help,

Joe

Please pay attention to what I posted. I did not suggest you saved the document as a template; I suggested the macro might be in the document's template and not in the document itself. There's a world of difference between a document and a template and you should take time to learn how documents relate to templates.

Every document is based on a template. Macros in a template are available to any document based on that template regardless of the save format - provided they can access the template. Your statement

confirms that you had added the code to the document's template and not to the document itself.
