Hi,
First time user but long-time (grateful) reader here. Thanks in advance for your help. I do 90% of my work with Track Changes on and have numerous customized keyboard shortcuts. Quite frequently, I accidentally hit the CTRL-SHIFT-E command that turns Track Changes on/off. Since I usually type in "Final" mode, I may not realize Track Changes is off until a while later, meaning I have to back track and repeat a lot of typing after turning Track changes back on. I'd like to have an audio or MsgBox alert triggered when Track Changes is turned OFF in the active document. I have searched and found a macro that alerts the user to the Track Changes status when the document is opened, but nothing that will alert when the document is in use. Many thanks in advance. You could just remove the shortcut. Not a big deal IMHO, since you can still quickly toggle the state via Word's status bar.
