You could, but that seems a lot of complication for something that's as easy as clicking anywhere in the table, clicking on Table Tools>Layout>Sort, then choosing the column to sort by. A macro would also require the document to be saved in the doc or docm format and would fail for anyone who has a high macro-security setting or doesn't otherwise enable the macro when the document opens
