Is there a way programmatically to determine the footnote number style, if other than arabic numbers

Default Is there a way programmatically to determine the footnote number style, if other than arabic numbers


When copying between documents, the footnote number style will switch to the default arabic one, no matter pasting with the source style. Is there a way using VBA to detect and to keep the original number style? Any help is appreciated.
