I don't think there is an easy way of doing this.

It looks like the footnote numbering style can only be altered for an entire section so if you want the inserted footnotes to retain a different style then you would need to quarantine the pasted footnotes in their own section using continuous section breaks.

I suspect the most realistic way to do this would be to convert the footnotes to plain text and format them how you like. To get the actual footnote itself, I would add a normal footnote and then hide the reference text beside the inserted plain text and restyle the footnote entry to position the live number off the page and setup the style to make it appear like the alternative hard coded text is positioned the same way as the other footnotes.
