Oh wow, I didn't even think to use table as object. this is great!!, thank you so very very much for your help. I don't have time to try the new code today but I hope to try it this evening. thanks again for your help and I'll keep you posted as to my progress. I just wish I knew more about VBA so I could help others, but I've got a lot to learn before that happens
