I have been tasked with updating old templates for use in Word 2010. Some may have been made before Word 2003 and some were even made in WordPerfect.
First, some of them open with userforms. When I try to work with the userform in VBA, it simply isn’t there. How can I view and change the userform? Are they invisible because the template is so old or are the templates secured in some way? Second, can I simply save the templates as macro-enabled documents and then update them as necessary, rather than creating new templates in Word 2010? What are the risks involved in that? Must I re-create all of the userforms and styles in a new template? I would attach one of the templates, but I'm told it's an invalid file. I am making these for Word 2010, 32-bit, running on Windows 7. I am working on Word 2013 running on Windows 7. Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers, Bill |
