Seeing that you were a submarine ordnance commander in the U.S. Navy, I must ask you if you ever encountered a very fine gentleman by the name of Michael Bates. He is presently my CCNA instructor - beyond lucid in his presentation and every bit as fine an instructor as I had during my undergraduate and graduate years. Please do let me know.

And again, thank you for your assistance - and your civility. In closing, I do think what really gets people who assail me is that I just don't get upset or engage them in senseless repartee. Because there is so much of that nonsense on the net, I tend not to frequent forums that much anymore. Perhaps that is why I had no idea what cross-posting is or how it was such a crime.
