Is the following possible? Is it difficult to code in a VBA script?
At the top of a word document is a table. The first column of the table contains field codes. The second contains values that we want in the field codes. Whenever I change a value in the second column, I want the rest of the document searched for field codes matching the first column and update their value. ![]() |

That's not how fields work. What you need to do is to bookmark the 'Shift' & 'Kaboom!' strings, then insert cross-references to those bookmarks wherever you want their values to appear. Do note that the cross-references won't automatically update - you can achieve that via Ctrl-A, F9.
