Dear all,
A quick one I can't quite fathom out. I have page numbering in section F that needs to display F1. This occurs at the end of the document and I've been able to use the appropriate breaks etc to get this to start counting at 1. However, I need it to display F1 - not F.1 or F-1 (as per the built-in styles that use Chapters). I am looking to editing the field code, but I am quite perplexed on how to accomplish this. Any advice is appreciated. |

Why don't you simply type the letter F before the numbering field?

Because the Table of Contents doesn't pick up the F

Ah, you've moved the goal post
![]() There is a method for doing that described here: http://wordfaqs.mvps.org/TOCTips.htm#ChapterNumbering It it rather involved, but it does work. |
