One of the properties for a formfield is 'Bookmark' to process the data with a macro, one needs to know the bookmark names or have some other way of relating the fields in one document to the fields in another.
To give yourself an idea of what's involved, imagine you're in my situation. I have never seen the documents, so I need clear instructions on where I can find the 'name' field in the source document and the corresponding field in the destination document. The same applies to every datum you want to transfer. That's basically how a macro works. A macro has no idea of how the documents are structured; all it has is a set of instructions and, if they're wrong, you might end up with the macro crashing or putting data where they don't belong. I don't know what you mean by 'controlfields'.
