Default Command Button doesnt work on network

I am working on a Word 2010 template with a Command Button that is having the document Save, Print and Email with one click. I have the file saved as a .dotm. The file is located on our network. I dont think there is an issue with the Visual Basic code but maybe a setting in word.

The problem is that when you open up the template from the network you can not click the Command Button. One solution i found was to download the document to the local machine to use but the content of the file is updated regularly and can see a user saving a document and using that document and not getting the updated document.

Any help will be appreciated been working on this for a week or so now and google hasnt yielded any results that have worked.
