![]()
I'm working on a 2 column document and need to insert a table the full width of the page. I want it to stay positioned at the bottom of the page but keep caption with it.
Here is what I have tried: If I set the text wrapping to "Around" and size it to the page width the caption stays in the location where the table was inserted. It does not stay with the table. If I set the table to be in a single column section it breaks the columns above and below as separate pages. It should flow from top to bottom down the left column and then the right. I can't remember now what the caption did in that case. I tried modifying the style of caption set to "keep with next" under pagination but that did notn seem to do anything. I woudl appreciate any help! This is really annoying! |

It sounds as if you need to create a continuous section break before and after the table, and switch the table's section to single column page format. Then, format the text wrapping for the table as In line, centered, at the width you need. You can add a row to the bottom of the table, merge the cells to make it a single column, and place your caption there.
Does that do the trick? |
