The code includes a line at the end that protects the document. If you disable that line you remove the protection that is reinstated EVERY time the code runs. This would allow you to edit the document normally and remove the table.
The line you want to disable is ActiveDocument.Protect wdAllowOnlyFormFields, True, StrPwd You disable it by adding a single quote in front of it 'ActiveDocument.Protect wdAllowOnlyFormFields, True, StrPwd Then return to your document and move your cursor from one CC to another to ensure the code has run. You will then be able to edit the doc. If you want the document protected for your users, just go back in to the code and delete the single quote again. Note that you don't have to use a protected document to see the code do the colouring.

And i also need to add more text between the tables...... but cant seen to modify he document. Is there a way that i can perhaps protect the tables but make changes to the rest of the document?

Firstly, I would question whether you REALLY need to protect the document. If you trust your users then the protection is not necessary.
If you don't trust your users, but do want them to add/change other content then you can add Content Controls (eg Rich Text or Plain Text) to other areas where you want content to be editable by your users.

It probably does not need to be locked at all i don't think. They submit this report each month hopefully they don't modify anything to do with this,

I would leave it unlocked for a while and see how it goes. If people are deleting or rewording questions then you can have an adult conversation with them to understand why they think that is necessary and you can either:
1. Change the questions based on that feedback 2. Lock it down so they are forced to answer the questions you want answered.
