Hello!
I have OCR-ed a document with lots of table and I got a word documents with full of tables which don't behave like ordinary tables do. Basically, it doesn't auto resize to fit contents. I have attacked a sample, maybe you can help me to find the problem. Thank you. |

The merged cells would cause troubles with the resizing of column widths, I believe. You can adjust column widths manually.
Also, note that row heights in your table have been set to an exact amount, which you would have to change as well (unless you want fixed row heights of course).

Whether Word tables 'auto resize to fit contents' depends on whether the 'Automatically resize to fit contents'attribute is set (see under Table Tools|Layout>Properties>Table>Options). In your sample document, that attribute is not set. I suspect you won't like the result if you do that, however.

@Stefan Blom
Yeah, the solution was to recheck and after that to uncheck the row heigh setting (Table Proprieties - Row - Specify height). Thank you. Thank you both for your responses. Last edited by Stefan Blom; 06-12-2020 at 02:42 AM. Reason: (removed excessive line breaks) |
