Most likely the problem is due to someone having applied a 'keep together' and 'keep with next' paragraph format to the table. Selecting the table and clearing those settings may resolve the matter. Alternatively, someone may have applied the 'around' wrap format to the table. Clearing that setting may resolve the matter.
