Are you trying to reinstall direct from the MS site? In my experience, the downloadable installer is liable to expire and it'll fail to install the software once that's happened.

Note also that the Windows Essentials 2012 suite will reach end of support on January 10, 2017 and, if you have a problem with it after that date, you won't be able to reinstall it anyway. See: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13785
