Conceivably, this would be possible with macros if there is an event that would kick off a macro by changing selection. This does seem like a lot of work to create and might not be a realistic project for someone who is a complete beginner.

A simpler solution for a beginner would be to create additional pages with the connected documents and then use a method that takes you to that page. This video gives a good tutorial on how you can do this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJMOTil_3cM
