Hello,
We are planning according to tonnage in steel manufacturing projects. We want to plan projects in Ms project. However, I want the tasks in the project to be planned automatically according to the weight entered. how can I do this? |

1. Enter weight in the [Number1] field.
2. Automatically display the Duration that matches the weight in the [Duration1] field(using a formula). 3. Copy the [Duration1] field value to the [Duration] field(Copy everything at once using a macro). If this process is what you were thinking of and you need more details, please email me. ineejuatyahoodotcom P.S. Is the smallest unit of weight 1 ton? How many days is 1 ton? |

The method I follow in steel calculation is as follows:
In the "Resource Name" section, I specify "Steel Works," then in the "Work" section, I enter the tonnage amount to be processed. Once I assign the number of days needed to complete the task in the "Duration" section, the "Resource Usage" section shows the daily distribution. Based on my daily processing capacity, I identify any excess and make manual adjustments. "Task Type= Fixed Work" should be selected. |
