I use MS Project Pro 2016.
I have created a resource pool (seperate project file) and use those resources in 3 different projects. Now I am trying to level those resources according the project priority. Leveling the project with higher priority does not seem to affect the projects with lower priorities. How do I make MS Project to delay the projects with lower priority in favor of the ones with a higher priority? |

Because MSProject keeps crashing on me I decided to open the Resource Pool project alone so I could choose to open it for reading and writing, maybe that is causing the crashing.
Now I noticed a Project1 is generated which has all sharer projects in it. The project priority is a single priority for Project1, the specific Project Priorities are not transferred to the Task Priority. I am going to change the Task Priorities for the tasks of the project with the higher priority to the value of that project priority and try leveling again. Curious if that new leveling will be transferred back into the separate projects. My gut-feeling says I am not on the right track, so if anybody has some advice please share it. |

The priority setting do not seem to affect leveling accross projects.
Order of the project also do not affect priority in leveling So I am still confused why higher priority task are scheduled later than tasks in other projects that have a lower priority. I do not want to have to work around this with constraints, that would defeat the purpose of using a planning tool. |
