Default Help with Interim Baseline Variance

Hello

I'm not so hot on the advanced side of project so I was hoping someone could help explain how to do something (in fairly simple terms if possible)?

I've changed the view of a plan to Table:Variance so I can review the variance from the Baseline Finish date. We are also capturing an Interim baseline and need to also calculate the variance of each task from the respective Finish1, Finish2, Finish3 fields.

The Table: Variance view doesn't give you the option to perform this report and further research online seems to suggest using a calculation. Excuse my ignorance but I didn't even know you could input calculations into Project!

Can someone please explain what steps I need to follow to get this information as easily as possible?

It's MUCH appreciated!

Thanks
Laura
