Default Highlighting task before start date

Good day all

Been using Project very superficially for the last two years or so but need to start delving a little deeper

Is there a way to get a task to highlight automatically when it gets to a certain date if there has been no action (by using complete % maybe)?

The idea would be to use it as a reminder to oneself. If you perhaps missed a start date and did not indicate any progress after a week then it would get highlighted to indicate inaction. Come to think of it, it would be awesome if you could even get it to highlight with yellow a week before start date and then change to red a week after start date if no action has been indicated.

Thanks
