Hi Julie, we are using a standard Level of Effort ( as a rule of credit) for the activity. What i cant fathom out is if I have loaded the work hrs for the project duration 10000. I have then progressed the phys % from 0 to 2%. I would of expected the actual No of hrs to = 1000/2% = 200 hrs. what the actual is showing me is 196hrs. which is giving me a false EVM calcuation. |

I'm not sure that the Physical % complete ties in with actual work values. The Earned Value is either calculated from % complete (duration) or physical % complete - but not % work complete. When I create a simple project and set things up to use Physical % complete as the earned value method (both the field and the calculation), updating Physical % complete has no effect on Actual Work. The actual work values remain zero.
