I used to use MS Project on an older laptop. The last time I upgraded it was to MS Project 2000 with an 'Upgrade' CD. I no longer have the old laptop with the original software but do have the Upgrade CD. How do I get a license or the .exe file for that older version so that I can use the upgrade CD I have?

The release of Project prior to Project 2000 was Project 98. I doubt you'll be able to find a version that old even on EBay - but it's the best I can suggest. I am unsure if it will run on Windows 8. I'd see what you can find on EBay for a more recent version.
