I think we're getting wrapped up in some terminology issues.
A view (like the Gantt Chart View) is usually made up of a table (left side with columns) and a graphic. The default Gantt chart view shows the Entry table but you can show different tables (Cost, Work, etc). You want to create a new VIEW with different formats on the Gantt chart graphic. (Red bars, blue bars, etc). You can create a new table and apply that new table to a custom VIEW. I've created a Printing_Table where the only field (column) is the ID column. The table contains no other fields. I create the new view (Printing_Gantt) and apply the Printing_Table to the view. Does that make sense? |
