Background: I have a team that is working on being better at estimating work for projects. We are a leveraged tem, so I seperate status using both work (8 hours) and Duration (6 days).
Problem: Right now I need to show our Estimated work (original hours) vs What we actually worked for that task (actual work), simple enough except, I am trying to do this while have the task completed = 100%. SO example would be task 1 Work (estimated) = 8 hours, actual hours = 6, with task 1 being complete (100%). I need the % to be updated for over all project status. our Project is 25% done and we are currently +/- hours to date from what we estimated. How do I do that? |

Your estimated work and duration is available in the Baseline Work and Baseline duration field - assuming you have saved a baseline.
Project will calculate variance for the baseline data as compared to actuals. Regarding updating for the entire project, turn on the Project Summary task (Gantt Chart Format Ribbon). It will show overall project data including % complete. |
