showing fabrication items in schedule

okay then i will show them as a milestone so that it is at least visible there. i dont prefer to use cross project links
makes sense?

Not sure why you don't like cross project links - but okay. I'd show the milestone in the destination linked (successor) to the activity in the fabrication project.
