Project closes unexpectedly

I am using Project 2007. From the past couple of days, a strange issue occurs.

I open Project, then open another project or document or excel, and copy data to the first Project file; the MPP closes. If I tab between files the MPP closes.

It works fine for a couple of hrs once I re-start the machine, but the problem starts again.

Can someone tell me what could be the problem here?
