Hope someone can help -

i have just completed a plan ( fully linked with predessors and sucessors) My superior has asked me to split them out into different wbs strings.

What version of Project are you using? it works as expected in Project 2010. I do not have 2003 around to test, but don't recall that is a change.

I don't think this should be affecting it, but check Tools > Options, Schedule tab. Is the option "Autolink inserted or moved tasks" off?
