but from today to where i see the critical path starting, there is also a shortest duration isnt it? I am still not clear why from today to the start of future critical date there is no critical path.



can it be because i had assigned percentages to some future activities either 100% or less, where their predecessors was not complete? so in a way i overrode my previous logic of things due to field progress...

It's impossible for me to guess without seeing the project file. Projects with multiple network paths will not show all tasks as critical - only those that have zero slack. Did you add the Total Slack field as I suggested? What are the total slack values -- fairly small?

Do you have constraints in the project?
