Hi, I am working in MS Project 2010. I created a workplan, and it could not be published at the project server. It stopped publishing at 92% and never reached the completion.
I tried with other workplans and have no problem at all. Any idea what it could be? |

Hi MarcelaTeich,
If all other project plans publish successfully and only one plans fails, it sounds like that one plan may be corrupt. Try deleting the local cache. The try again. You may have to rebuild the project file if the problem continues. |

Thanks for your quick answer! What you told me, it was exactly what TechSupport from my company had said.
I re-done the workplan twice... and every new version is still corruped. I have the same issue with every workplan: I changed the name, but it did not help. Any other idea? |

Changing the name of the workplan will not fix file corruption. Do you have blank lines in the workplan? Links on summary tasks?

No blanks, no links. Whay I do have are these symbol - (dash) Do you think that the dash could cause trouble?

Where is the dash appearing? Dashes next to summary tasks indicate the summary task is expanded and showing all subtasks.
Look at the ID numbers -- are there tasks skipped? |

dashes appear in the task name (not in the numbers). eg: BPO - Develpment
There is not task skipping. |

No, dashes in the task name should not be causing problems. Is this a project created directly in Project 2010 or was it created in an earlier version?
To check -- to do you have SP-1 installed to Project 2010? What cumulative update? Also your server and client should be at the same SP/CU level. Julie |

Project 2010 always (there was no mix of versions)
The Project server works fine, I published other workplan without problems. But anyway, how do I check the SP/CU level.? |

Hi Marcela,
Sorry for the delay. To check Service Pack in the client go to File > Help and on the right side click the link for "Additional Version and Copyright Information". It should clearly say "SP-1" for CU information see: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/brismith/arc...e-running.aspx |

Hi Marcela,
I guess I would refer you back to your Project Server administrator. There may be something (local resources, local views) that are blocking that one file from being published. |
