sending data from VB6 to powerpoint

I am a longtime VB6 programmer, but have done nothing with PPoint.

I want to be able to send text strings from a Visual Basic6 app into various text boxes in a running PowerPoint app. The PPoint app will have a number of pages, scrolling at a slow rate).
The text boxes need only to be updated from VB every 1 minute.
How do I do this ? VB6 & PP code ?
