(I've taken under advisement as it were, a recommendation from this thread here, that seems to address the same problem I have: MS Answers: Macros in a PPT template. But I still need this anyway.)



I created some macros and assigned toolbar buttons and put them in a "Blank.pot" file in the default templates folder. Trouble is that I have the same issue as the person asking in the thread above, the macros don't work, I get an error message. On opening the file, I can create a new toolbar button and assign the macros again, they're there, but that's crazy ... setting up the macros each time I open the file anew?!!

I use Word and Excel extensively even though I now don't work in an office. But I'd not used the PowerPoint at home until I found it's the only app that I can use for a particular file! And it's a file I'm using very frequently! But I need the 2 macros to work. It's only me on this device and this is not a file I'll share, so not concerned with any security risks here.

Can anyone recommend what to do? The post above doesn't resolve the issue and I've not found anything else elsewhere so far, and I don't know the first thing about creating my own add-in, as is recommended in that post.
