i am using the latest version of PowerPoint in an Office 365 Subscription on a Mac.
I have footers and page numbers set up in the Master View as I would like. When I go to display mode, they appear as I would expect, however I can move or modify them. I would like them to appear in Display mode by not have the ability to act on them in this mode....similar to how Word does a footer. Is there a way to configure this? Have you tried deleting the 'prefab' footers in the master and making your own footers from scratch? Sometimes this helps for me when I have to work on a presentation that has been set up in a different PPT version and doesn't show the footers correctly.
