Default Problems with Arial Nova in Powerpoint. Slides cannot be ported between different versions.

Hello together,

I have a problem with PowerPoint and the font Arial Nova and maybe somebody can help me.

I have two laptops. One is running Office 2016 and the other is running Office 365 (both Windows 10). On the first one, I have created a set of slides (over 200 slides, many graphics, very elaborate). I used Arial Nova as the primary font. When I open the same slides on my second laptop (Office 365), the font is larger and the whole set of slides is broken. I have also sent the slides to some friends and for some, it is displayed correctly and others have the same problem as me with my second laptop.

Now I thought that it is because the second laptop does not know the font and I got the Arial Nova ttfs from the internet and added it to the Windows. But the problem remains.

Then I had the idea to embed the font into the slide set. But when I try to do that, Office tells me it cannot be done because it is not TrueType. And in fact, when I look at the first laptop to see what fonts Windows knows, Arial Nova is not there. Could it be that this font is integrated into PowerPoint and that there are different versions of Arial Nova in different versions of Office?

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? The obvious solution of editing the font in all slides, would imply a lot of work because I would have to adjust every text box on each slide individually.

Thanks a lot, Alex

Thank you very much, I have been able to solve the problem. My Office 2016 did not know Arial Nova at all and therefore used a different font (I had used a template created with Office 365 that had Arial Nova set as the default font).

In PowerPoint, I could not figure out which font was actually used. However, when I converted the slides to a pdf, Acrobat shows me that it is the Carlito font. So now if I replace Arial Nova with Carlito, the slides retain their appearance even when I open them in Office 365.
