How come the Paste Special options do not auto-complete?

When I Paste Special some text in Word, the list of As: options (Formatted, Unformatterd, Picture, etc.) are highlighted so I can select the one I want using the arrow keys or by typing the first letter. In PowerPoint 365, neither of these methods works.

Is this a bug, an oversight, or is there some setting I need to change?
