Why is my video fast forwarding in powerpoint?

Hi. So I uploaded a video onto my powerpoint presentation. It's really about 30 seconds longs. However, when I play it in powerpoint, it fast forwards and only plays for about 2 seconds. Does anyone know how to fix this?

so what is the format of your video, and did you convert it before embedding to PowerPoint?
