Is there a way to add things on the slide that will be shown when printed, but not when presented? Pretty much like comments in function, but more powerful and handy.

Have you tried giving the "notes" a with previous disappear animation?

If you have long TRANSITIONS you might see the notes for a flash. This is because the disappear happens AFTER the transition.
In this case add first a with previous APPEAR and then an after previous disappear. |
