Default Multiple animations on a video

I'd like to make a video appear and automatically play, seems simple enough. Automatically playing is apparently considered an animation, because it appears in the animation pane.
Now if I add another animation to the video, it removes the previous one!
Here's what I do: I insert the video and add the "appear" animation, which ... well, appears in the list in the animation pane. I then go the playback section and select "start automatically", and it's replaced the "appear" animation in the list.
Is what I'm trying to do not possible?

You need to use the "ADD animation" button.
