Hello!
I found this which works for Word: https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-...-document.html Does anyone know a way to do something similar for Powerpoint? (Go through the slides, find textboxes that have the same 5-7 words in the same sequence, highlight them, then find the next one? (I have about 300 slides with 20 or so text boxes on each, and finding duplicate content manually is hit-or-miss.) I appreciate your help! Regards, leaning |

Why cant you use the FIND command (HOME > Editing) ?
Find Next should do just what you say. |

JohnWilson,
It's the same issue the other poster had using Word. He was looking for duplicate phrases. I can type in a few words and find nothing, or can type in a different phrase and find three duplicates. The document was created using all cut-and-pastes from other documents, and some of those other documents were at different revisions, so their words were copied in, but also words from their later revision. FIND is good for when you know what to look for; if you are just looking for ANY duplicate phrases, it doesn't do that so well. HTH. leaning |
