Default Creating bullet animations not working as expected

I have exported from Adobe Standard (Latest version), what was originally powerpoint slides saved as PDF and then handed to us students.

I have saved them as Powerpoint slides from adobe standard with the intention of clicking on each text box to animate each bullet and paragraph in one hit per slide.

For some odd reason, it will not animate each bullet or paragraph and will only animate the whole text box, this normally works fine if I create the file myself by the way.

I've tried numerous things such as create a new text box and then copy and paste from the original box the text to the new one then re-animate. This still isn't working and at present I'm finding myself having to animate each line individually.

With 10 presentations to do and each containing approx' 100 slides this is going to be a long task. Is there another way to do this that I have overlooked please.
