Hyperlink plays BEHIND the powerpoint

When I create a Powerpoint with a hyperlink, the video always plays BEHIND the presentation instead of in front of it. This means i have to end and minimise the Powerpoint so that I can see the hyperlinked video. Any ideas on what I need to do to correct this?
