The answer is probably NOT to use slide by slide "animations" to roll the coin. You should be able to use a combination of motion, spin and shrink.

Thanks for the demo, but I couldn't get it to play. I had abandoned using frame (slide)by frame animation anyway. I did use motion, spin, and shrink. Using two slides, each containing the coin, I selected the coin on the second slide and clicked on "morph" in Add Animation. I also attempted to use "spin" in the movement. I did not use a motion guide. The coin would move from point A to point B, but would only spin at either point, not in between them, which is what I need. Any thoughts?
