Default Advancing slide before animation ends

Hi
I want to have the option of clicking to advance a slide before the completion of an animation (in my case this is usually either 'grow/shrink' or a motion animation).

However, this requires a double click - one to end the animation and then another to advance the slide. When recording this presentation in Camtasia, this produces a jerky transition that doesn't look good. Does anyone have a workround for this? Many thanks for any help. Rob
