Can't Insert PDFs into PPT

Hi,

Am having issues inserting PDFs into PPT2013.
Am using the standard Insert Object method. However the result is that only an icon is inserted.

Any tips?

You can't do a direct import as in a jpg file. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro so I can open the PDF and export as jpg's etc.
