PP project is not remembering my movies!

I've created a project in PP 14.4.6. It has a few movie clips in it. I dragged my movie clips from my desktop and inserted each into the appropriate slide. They play fine. I saved the entire project.



But I've noticed that if I close the project out, and then open it again, the movies do not play! You see the first frame of the movie, but when you move the cursor to the bottom to activate the Play button, the button is nowhere to be found. I find that I have to delete this frame, and then drag the movie clip onto the slide again to make it play.

All the movie clips are on my desktop.

What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for your help.
