"File" is blank. Double-clicking it or selecting 'Play Sound' displays the 'loading circle' for a split second then goes back to a normal cursor. I'll give the viewer a try!  Viewer's working, sound's playing!  I'm still curious about what's up with 2003, if you're inclined to do any more troubleshooting with it.
