Hi

Can anyone help on using custom template in Windows8 machine.
In windows 8 custom template are not read properly.


Usecase 1:
1. Uploaded filename.pot file in the below mentioned path.
C:\Users(username)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templ ates\LiveContent\User\Document Themes\1033
2. File not read properly @ Design->Themes tab.

Usecase 2:
1. Copy a template from filename.pot file and try pasting(Keep Source format option) the same in a new instance of powerpoint.
2. Template not copied properly.

Note:
1. Images are attached along with this thread.

This is what MSFT say:

I know people are using 2003 on 8 but it may be causing the problem.

Even if the custom template is designed in .potx format, windows 8 is not supporting it. Moreover am not able to add my custom template in the design->themes tab (Am able to do the same in my windows 7 machine).

So are you not using 2003.

Nope. Am using 2013.

Probably a good idea to change the profile settings then because they say 2003
